Students will learn about prosocial initiatives in Japan, including robotics for elder care, experience the culture of Kyoto, and go on educational tours in rural areas affected by the 2011 earthquake, while also engaging with local universities, nursing homes, and traditional practices.

This 10-day Japan program immerses students in diverse prosociality initiatives, from technological innovations to cultural traditions. Activities include visiting robotics companies and nursing homes in Tokyo, experiencing traditional Japanese culture in Kyoto, and touring areas affected by the 2011 earthquake in Sendai. Through expert discussions, hands-on activities, and site visits, students will learn about Japan's advancements in elder care, cultural heritage, and disaster resilience, while engaging in meaningful exchanges on prosocial behavior and community support.

Walking Tour of Tokyo. Peer-to-peer discussion on prosociality at a local university.

Business visit of a robotics and technology company.

Guided visit to a buddhist temple and guided meditation.
Day 5
Demonstration on the use of robots in a nursing home.
Day 6
Walking tour of Kyoto. Hike and exploration of Fushimi Inari-Taisha shrine.
