This 8-day Panama and Costa Rica program provides students with a comprehensive exploration of business and cultural environments. Activities include visiting the Panama Canal, engaging with indigenous communities, and exploring the vibrant cities of Panama City and San Jose. Through site visits, tours, and conversations with local business leaders, students will gain insights into the strengths and challenges of each country. Additionally, students will experience the natural beauty of both countries, including beaches, waterfalls, and a catamaran trip to Taboga Island, enriching their understanding of sustainable tourism and community-driven business models.

Itinerary 

Day 1

Arrival to Panama City. Orientation and welcome dinner.

Day 2

Catamaran tour to Taboga Island. Conversation with coffee cooperative business leaders.

Day 3

Visit to Miraflores Center and Panama Canal. Site visit to Panama Canal Authority ACP.

Day 4

Visit to an indigenous community. Business visit to a distribution company in the free trade zone

Day 5

Walking tour of San Jose. Conversation with local about female entrepreneurship. Visit to a company that upcycles plastic

Day 6

Visit to ICT Tourism Board. Business visit to a fintech company.

Day 7

Visit to La Paz Waterfall. Conversation about sustainable tourism as a business. Farewell dinner.
