This 13-day Japan and Taiwan program provides students with a rich blend of technological insights, cultural experiences, and academic interactions. Activities include touring Tokyo’s iconic sites, visiting top technology companies, and engaging in cultural exchanges at universities like Keio and National Taiwan University. Through expert-led tours, hands-on company visits, and guided cultural activities, students will gain a deep understanding of Japan and Taiwan’s innovations in technology, their cultural heritage, and academic excellence.

Itinerary 

Day 1

Arrival to Tokyo and orientation. Walking tour of the neighborhood. Welcome dinner.

Day 2

City Tour of Tokyo. Visit to the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.

Day 3

Business visit to a satellite development company. Business visit to a biotech development company.

Day 4

Tour of a local university. Peer-to-peer exchange with students. Free time to explore Tokyo.

Day 5

Guided tour of Osaka Castle. Cultural exchange with local engineering students.

Day 6

Guided tour of Kyoto. Kimono Tea Ceremony. Free time to explore.

Day 7

Arrival to Hsinchu. Welcome dinner.

Day 8

Visit to the TSMC Museum of Innovation. Business visit to a company that develops display technologies and solutions.

Day 9

Company visit to a high-power fiber lasers manufacturer. Free time to explore Taipei.

Day 10

Guided tour of Central Taipei. Business visit to a company that specializes in guidance, navigation and control for satellites.

Day 11

Visit to a local college of Engineering. Visit to the Tea Gardens at the top of Maokong Mountain.

Day 12

Free day in Taipei. Farewell dinner.
