 In addition to museum visits and educational tours, your students will meet with stakeholders representing very different viewpoints on the highly controversial topic of monument relocation.

Day 1

Arrival and orientation 

Day 2

Black Heritage walking tour. Haunted History Ghost tour. 

Day 3

Conversation and sacred site visit with a Voodoo Priest. Streetcar ride to historic Garden District.

Day 4

Lower 9th Ward People’s Museum. Petit Treme Jazz Museum. Live jazz concert. 

Day 5

Meeting with architecture firm dedicated to advocating spaces of equity. Mardi Gras Indian Council. 

Day 6

St. Louis Cemetery. African American Museum. 

Day 7

Indigenous history walking tour. Farewell dinner.
